Pre-Symposium 2: Drug Safety in The Era of Polypharmacy

Pre-Symposium 2 discusses the pharmaceutical aspects of cardiac arrhythmias. This session was moderated by Chaerul Achmad, MD, PhD and Farial Indra, MD and is comprised of three lectures. The first lecture was brought by Anggia Chairuddin Lubis, MD with the topic "Comprehensive Thromboembolic Protection in Atrial Fibrillation: Optimising Anticoagulation Across Diverse Patient Profile”. In this session, he compares the efficacy of different drugs across various demographics. The second lecture discusses “Safety Monitoring Strategies for Antiarrhythmic Drugs in Real-World Practice” by Hermawan, MD. The third lecture for this session was brought by Budi Baktijasa Dharmadjati, MD, PhD and highlights the topic “Managing Arrhythmias in CKD: Choosing the Right Antiarrhythmics”, in which he discusses safety measures in AF patients undergoing dialysis.

Fetomaternal Arrhythmias Before Birth and Beyond: From Diagnostics to Lifelong Rhythm Care

Following the coffee break, Pre-Symposium 5 was hosted by Antonia Anna Lukito, MD, PhD, and Rubiana Sukardi, MD, PhD. This session is comprised of three lectures: “Understanding the Normal Pediatric ECG: From Neonates to Children”, “Recognizing Congenital Heart Disease on ECG: Clues You Shouldn’t Miss”, and “Pregnancy in Arrhythmia Patients: Two Hearts, One Rhythm Challenge” with the speakers: Rubiana Sukardi, MD, PhD, Aditya Agita Sembiring, MD, and Irvan Adenin, MD, Obgyn, MFM, PhD, respectively. This session also demonstrates pediatric diagnostic workups using real-life case examples. 


Pre-Symposium 8: Joint Symposium InaHRS-InaACC The Unstable Heart: From Acute Myocardial Infarction to Electrical Storm—When to Support and When to Ablate

Lastly, Pre-Symposium 8 was moderated by Agung Fabian Chandranegara, MD, and Sunu Budhi Raharjo, MD, PhD. This session consists of two lectures, starting with “From Myocardial infarction to Electrical Storm: How to Stabilize the Unstable Patient” by Vidya Gilang Rejeki, MD. The Unstable Heart: From Acute Myocardial Infarction to Electrical Storm—When to Support and When to Ablate. She introduces a comprehensive management strategy in myocardial infarct, even including multidisciplinary care. The second lecture was brought by Dony Yugo Hermanto, MD, and discusses "Shock, Scar, and Storm: Timing Catheter Ablation for Ventricular Arrhythmias in ACS”.
